monolith
Monolith takes the city skyline in an X by X area (as a sort-of topographic texture) and rotates it upwards 90 degrees. The texture of the rooftops becomes the façade of monolith. Doors and windows are now skylights, trapdoors, shafts for moving in vertical space. monolith is the idea of turning horizontal into vertical, and will be developed into a spatial vernacular that looks at taking horizontal density into a vertical mindset while avoiding the high-rise or superstructure. |

Monolith prend la silhouette de la ville dans une zone de X par X (comme une sorte de texture topographique) et pivote vers le haut à 90 degrés. La texture des toits devient la façade du monolithe. Les portes et les fenêtres sont maintenant claires-voies, trappes, de puits pour le déplacement dans l’espace vertical. monolithe est l’idée de transformer horizontale en verticale, et sera développé dans une langue vernaculaire du territoire qui ressemble à la prise de densité horizontale dans un état d’esprit verticale, tout en évitant les gratte-ciel ou de la superstructure.
